The Mini Mini Helps Olympic Organizers On Field

Amongst some of the help at this year's Olympic Games in London, England are Mini Coopers; but these are slightly different: they are mini Minis. Mini Cooper teamed up with Olympic organizers to develop 3 Mini Mini remote-controlled cars to help with the track and field events such as the shot-put, discus throw, javelin throw events. Capable of hauling such items, these Olympic helpers saved the track and field by retrieving such items on the field; driving a bit over 3 miles a day per car. At 10 horsepower, the Mini Minis are also equipped with working headlights, windshield wipers, disc brakes, and shock-absorbers. If you're looking to where you can get a hold of one of these to serve drinks at your next party, BMW has reported that the Mini Minis have returned to base.
